This Week in Class: Bikur Cholim (visiting the sick)

Please come prepared with something that makes you feel better when you're sick, a piece of paper, and something to color with!

Morah Emily

Shalom everybody and welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Miss Emily and I will be your teacher this year! Here are some fun facts about me:

  • I went to preschool at TBS and lots of the teachers here were my teachers when I was little.

  • I work in a hospital in New York City and help patients learn about nutrition and how to eat healthy foods.

  • My favorite Jewish food is latkes! I love to eat them with apple sauce and sour cream, I can’t pick just one dip!

  • I love singing. My favorite part of temple services is the music!

  • I cannot wait for an awesome year together

The focus on our class is centered around Jewish values like tzedakah, saying thank you and celebrating Shabbat! We will also be learning about all the Jewish holidays! Our classes will be all over zoom but I have tons of fun games and activities planned for us this year!
